Kommunfullmäktige har antagit en omfattande lokalbehovsplan för perioden 2024 till 2038, men förslaget om ett nytt äldreboende i Mölnbo röstades ned av majoritetspartierna.
Den 8 april antog kommunfullmäktige en ny lokalbehovsplan, en central del av den kommunala planeringen för utvecklingen av förskolor, skolor och äldreboenden.
Trots ett tydligt behov har förslaget om att upprätta ett nytt vård- och omsorgsboende i Vårdinge-Mölnbo kommundel mött motstånd. Förslaget, som drivits av Centerpartiet under flera år, röstades ned av Socialdemokraterna, Moderaterna och Miljöpartiet.
– Roligt var att hela oppositionen stämde in i förslaget men mycket tråkigt att majoritetspartierna röstade ned detsamma, säger Centerpartiets Tage Gripenstam i ett pressmeddelande.
Centerpartiet har argumenterat för att Mölnbo, den enda tätorten i kommunen utan ett sådant boende, är i skriande behov av faciliteten. I jämförelse har orter som Hölö och Enhörna framgångsrikt etablerat liknande boenden, där behov och tillgång till lediga lägenheter avgör placeringar utan geografisk förtur.

En seriekrock involverande nio fordon på E4 södergående vid Hölö har orsakat omfattande trafikstörningar och kallat flera räddningsenheter till platsen.
Vid 15-tiden på torsdagen inträffade en stor trafikolycka på E4 södergående vid Hölö, där nio fordon rapporterats vara inblandade. Olyckan har resulterat i stora trafikhinder, med minst ett körfält blockerat och betydande störningar i trafikflödet, enligt Trafikverket.
Polisen rapporterar att det är mycket halt på olycksplatsen, vilket kan ha bidragit till kollisionens omfattning.
Trots den stora krocken finns det för tillfället inga rapporterade personskador, men de inblandade fordonen har drabbats av omfattande plåtskador. Bärgningsfordon har skickats till platsen för att transportera bort åtminstone ett av fordonen. Räddningsarbetet är intensivt och beräknas pågå fram till klockan 16:00
Majoriteten av kommunens chefer har miljonlöner, men det är helt klart kommunens nytillträdde stadsdirektör som tjänar högst av dem alla, med en årslön på närmare 2 miljoner kronor.
